What have you been taking for granted?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 24, 2007:

My abilities, i tend to doubt myself and how far i can go. I take for granted the fact that i am a talented person, that i have the power to effect people because i don't see myself in that light.

What did you learn yesterday?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 23, 2007:

I learned the Freudian elements within F.Scott Fitzgerald's works, mainly the Great Gatsby and the conflicts featuring Victorian repression and the igniting of sexual awakening/independence for women. It was a good day.

Is the Force real?

Posted on May 22nd, 2007 by Jordan : Rhetoric is Your Friend Jordan
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 22, 2007:

Without a doubt. I am a skeptical person, one not quick to judge but i am also cynical. But i am absolutely positive that the force is real. I was once in my bathroom brushing my teeth and i glanced up to look at the mirror and there was a pregnant woman, she looked angelic and at ease. When i turned around to look she wasn't there but her shadow was. I guess if you believe in the supernatural is a question of faith, not merely religious faith, don't get me wrong but faith that there is something other than what we see, quantum physics and scientifc explainations alike.

What is one book that has changed your life? How?

Posted on Mar 27th, 2007 by Jordan : Rhetoric is Your Friend Jordan
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 23, 2007:

  • Books that have changed by life:

    Fountainhead-Ayn Rand
    The Amber Spyglass-Philip Pullman
    The Burning Times-Jeanne Kalogridis
    Violin-Anne Rice
    The Kite Runner
  • There are more but i think the one that had really influenced me was the Jolly Pocketpostman when i was younger because it really got me interested in rhyming and writing.
  • The Fountainhead gave me a whole new persepective on life. On the world. On everything.
  • Amber Spyglass gave me a broader and more accepting feel towards religion even though it is a childrens book and a work of fiction it was very powerful.

What book are you reading right now?

Posted on Mar 27th, 2007 by Jordan : Rhetoric is Your Friend Jordan
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 26, 2007:

Right now i'm alternating between three books. I am rereading the Fountainhead ( some critics claim that this is a book that every female girl has to experience and will later pass over a.k.a a phase book-i disagree), thoroughly reading Of Civil Governement by Locke ( reminiscent of Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations and a bit Similar to Hobbes Origins of Government but very good) and loving Lady Chatterly's Lover a D.H. Lawrence classic.
